Holiday fun for cheap

With the holidays on their way and money constantly going towards presents for loved ones, there isn’t much to do for cheap. Of course there's always ice skating or seeing a Christmas movie, but both options are between $10 to $50 and not a lot of high school students have the option to spend that much at a time. In order to have fun this holiday season, why not try some fun things from home?
Most kids wouldn’t think of building snowman or sledding because its always ether too cold or there’s no snow! Those who enjoy watching movies with friends and family, try running to the local library and find a couple Christmas movies such as Elf or A Christmas Carol. As long as theirs a membership card to the librabray, movies can be rented for free. So grab some popcorn from your local marketplace for at most $5, or maybe buy chips, cookies, cake or brownies for around the same price.
For those craving holiday beverages but can't make it themselves, stop by a nearby Starbucks and enjoy a peppermint mocha or the traditional hot chocolate. On the way home, stop by McDonald’s and purchase a holiday pie, which sometimes are 2 for $1. Anything involving food is a great option to make the holidays seem a little more fun.
Most children in Norwood love to go to Christmas Town, a local festival that takes place every year in Norwood on Elm Street by the high school. Every year they have a Christmas tree lighting, horse and carriage rides, many snacks, and even little toys and knick knacks to buy for a low price from local vendors.
This time of year is mostly about spending time with loved ones and just remembering all the good times from the year. For whatever you celebrate, the holiday season overall is a very fun and jolly time, especially when you find fun things that don’t break your bank!
